Beaches of Agia Pelagia

Just over one minute walk away from Evita Beach Apartments is Psaromoura Beach and it is a small beach west of the main beach of Agia Pelagia, which is favored more by the locals than the tourists, and therefore it is less people. The Peninsula Hotel which is located to the left of the beach provides for sale; snacks, ice creams, and drinks for visitors to the beach, as well as the use of sun beds and umbrellas. The Peninsula Hotel also keeps the beach clean and tidy. Because of the beaches location it is well known for being quiet, secluded and as it is the most protected beach in Agia Pelagia it has the least amount of wind of any of the other beaches.

Mononaftis Beach

The name Mononaftas when translated means “lonely sailor” and is named as such because it is a very peaceful and quiet area, and as it is ‘out-of-the-way’ it is generally not as crowded as the other beaches in Agia Pelagia. Crystal clear water, fine sand combined with less people make this an ideal beach to visit when you are in Agia Pelagia and you want to relax and get away from it all, as you can see in the photo. The beach is clean and tidy. The only drawback is it is not protected from the winds. You also do not need to worry about food, drinks snacks, or ice-cream as there are shops, cafes, bars close by.

Ligaria Beach

Beach is located east of the main Agia Pelagia beach, but to get there you need to walk some distance, and we would suggest you rent a car, buggy or scooter to get to the beach and get back to the main town. The beach itself is just as beautiful and lovely as the main beach in Agia Pelagia and it is also protected year round from the winds, making it nice and calm all the time. Along the beach you can find Cafes, taverns and bars so you won’t go thirsty or hungry. As you can see in the photo above the beach is beautifully sandy and the water flat and calm. It is highly recommended to visit this beach when you’re in Agia Pelagia.

Kladissos Beach

Kladissos Beach is private and visitors have to pay to use it unless you are staying at the Capsis Hotel (Out of the Blue), as access is through the hotel only. Just west of the main Agia Pelagia beach lies the beach of Kladissos and if you want to avoid all the summer crowds, this beach is for you. The beach’s comfortable and functional facilities respect the environment while offering guests a unique experience in quality services. It is smaller, quieter, and more isolated, but still close enough to the town’s centre for visitors to enjoy a degree of convenience to walk there. It is difficult to reach, but if you get there you will enjoy privacy.

Agia Pelagia Beach

Agia Pelagia Beach or as it is commonly known, Main Beach. The beach has over a kilometer of fine sand which has on one side crystal clear sea water and the other a walkway and shops, taverns, bars and restaurants. Main beach is centrally located in Agia Pelagia and is in walking distance from 95% of all hotels, apartments, rooms and other accommodation. This is the most favorite beach by tourists traveling with families as there is a plate of rock from the beach were children can play in the water safely. Chairs & umbrellas are supplied by the town for those who would rather lounge around than partake in the water activities and is great for parents who wish to supervise their children.
